Alliance Kingdom Builders Fundraising Auction

You may have noticed an extension of time for the Alliance Kingdom Builders auction.  Due to the issues at the Oroville Dam Spillway and a potential lack of access, we decided it would be prudent to extend the closing times as well as the pickup times for this auction.  Please rest assured that the items are high and dry in our warehouse and that we expect no further impact to our business or to your bidding fun, from the issues at the Spillway.  At this time I am sitting at my desk in Oroville.    I would not be here if I did not feel absolutely safe here.  If anything changes we will let you know,  In the meantime I reiterate,  it is safe to come come pick up your auction purchases on the days set aside for that purpose.

Yuba City Estate Liquidation Part 2

And another fantastic living estate auction.  Mr Potter has decided to leave California to live in the East with his relatives.  This auction is loaded with awesome and fantastic offerings from both his home estate and his business estate.  Daves floor coverings sold carpets and flooring in the Yuba City and Marysville area for over 40 years.  

Pay special attention to the antique Mahogany Bar back.  It is truly a work of art from a bygone era.  While you are at it, take a peek at the antique roll top desk,  it has hiding spaces, nooks and crannies galore.  Again, it is a piece of artwork in woodworking from a time long past.   

There is a bunch of floor covering tools in the auction so if you are a carpet installer, or flooring installer take a close look.  There are carpet stretchers, carpet irons, drum sanders, carpet dollies, rollers and so much more.   

The home estate has vintage and antique furniture as well as shop equipment, and woodworking and lapidary tools.

Yuba City Estate Liquidation Part 1: Prints, Purses, Jewelry & Vintage Hats

Just in time for the Christmas holidays!

Up for auction today is an estate out of the Yuba City/Marysville area.  This is the first part of a two portion auction from this estate,  so stay tuned for all of the other fascinating merchandise.  

This auction will have a ton of P. Buckley Moss prints and related Buckley Moss art.  Some of the prints are framed, while others are still in the protective wrap.  The Lady of the estate apparently really loved P Buckley Moss art and collected the art whenever and wherever she could.  Much of the art was purchased in either Sacramento or Yuba City, but we have seen other galleries as well.  

Also included in this estate auction part one, are the lady's vintage womens hat collection.  Now, I am not usually one for womens hats, but this lady had exquisite taste in hats and there are some incredible hats included in this auction offering.  Take a good look at these high fashion headwear pieces.  If you are a collector, or a discerning woman, of good fashion taste, you will love these hats and headwear.   Enjoy the feathers, the silk, the wool, the tule, the felt, the incredible design of a past era. Due to their age, most of these hats were made in the good old USA, but some are from Italy and France.  Enjoy your new hat with pride.  

Additionally included in this offering at auction are her collection of vintage purses and handbags,  Again, not my thing, but the women around me sure seem to be excited.  Check them out.  

Last but not least are some Beautiful Fashion Jewelry offerings. Most are stamped with karat, JCK and other letters. Most are believed to be high quality plated jewelry, (10k, 14k, GF and HGE). The stones are gorgeous to look at and many still have their tags on them and come in a pretty box. Just in time for Christmas!

How does your story start?  Or, more importantly, how does the story of your next classic car restoration start? Because, when you get right down to it, it all boils down to the story.  How did you find it?  Where did it come from?  What did it do in its past life?  What trials and adversity did you have to go through to procure your beautiful ride? 

If I may,  I am going to give you some potential sample “story starters” , you know, just to get you started… “I found this amazing barn find De Soto at the Weaverville Garage auction”  or “ My Buick came from an auction held in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere,  Weaverville CA” or “After battling for this Pontiac at auction and beating out 12 other bidders,  when I went to pick her up, I had to cut her free from a tree branch that had grown up through the hood or bumper or wheel well”  Or you story may start with “ The owner of this garage in Weaverville bought this Oldsmobile Tornado for his wife, but then had her park it and never put any miles on it”.  With over 50 vintage barn/field find vehicles in this sale there are going to be hundreds of ways to start your story about how, where, when you got your uber cool vintage car, truck, station wagon. 

The vehicles we have found include a 49 Ford pickup and several Dodge trucks from the 50s and 60s.  A Corvair station wagon, a Ford Fairlane, convertible Buicks, Studebakers, Mustangs, a couple of International Scouts, A Studebaker truck, several Chevrolet El Caminos,  I also saw a Hudson Pacemaker, a DeSoto Oldsmobile Toronado, Pontiac Lemans coupe, a Pontiac Ventura Spirit, Ford Maverick, Dodge Coronet, a Ford Galaxy 500, there is even a Vintage GMC short bus,  the list goes on and on, check out the sale list to see them all! These are true field find automobiles, some of them even have trees growing out of the hoods or grills.  It doesn’t get any more “field find” than stuff growing out of the vehicle. 

The proprietor of Weaverville Garage collected cars, boats, tools and stuff from the Hwy 299 corridor for over 50 years.  His legacy is up for sale at auction and what an amazing treasure trove of stuff!

This auction will have machine tools, shop tools, muffler installation equipment, welders, car lifts, diagnostic tools, tractors, a backhoe,  boats, vintage field and barn find automobiles, I am told there is even a plane being built in one of the storage units.  There are outbuildings full of stuff that we haven’t even seen yet!  There is stuff, stuff and more stuff. 

IMPORTANT: A word to the wise. This is a remote location.  It is over two hours from our home office.  We can’t just run up and help you load out after the allotted time, and the Estate manager has no interest in getting muddy and loading cars for weeks.  So PLEASE pay attention to the load out days, and communicate with us if you have issues.  NO payments will be taken at the Auction site in Weaverville! Anything not picked up during posted days and times will be considered abandoned.

Also, these are cars that were dragged in and dropped off, in some instances decades ago.  Most of them do not run, and for the record, EVERYTHING at this sale is sold absolutely AS IS WHERE IS!  In some instances you will need tires and wheels with air in them, you may even need a rolling axle,  you may need a chain saw, you may need a winch or come along, you may need tools.  You are going to need help, and you will need plenty of patience as there will be others in your way or vice versa.  I am just encouraging you to be prepared.   Oh, and did I mention that Weaverville is miles from anywhere, and very little in terms of services AKA no Walmart…

We will have a forklift on site for loadout; if you do not provide your own removal tactics we can negotiate loading prices.
